Shreekanth V. Karwande, M.D.
Dr. Shreekanth V. Karwande graduated from Ghandi Medical College and began his internship training in India. He completed a surgical internship at Cook County Hospital in Chicago and residency training at the State University of New York. Following residency, he trained in cardiothoracic surgery at Cornell University.
Dr. Karwande is a board-certified general and thoracic surgeon. He specializes in lung esophageal cancers and open heart surgery.
This knowledgeable and skilled physician was influential in the development of the UTAH Heart and Lung Transplant programs and served as its director during his tenure at the University of Utah.
Dr. Karwande provides the best care possible for each of his patients. He strives to help them achieve a quality of life where heart and lung conditions no longer interfere with everyday activities.
